Week 7

Something learned:
proofs(again!), something about algorithms (bubble sort, merge sort, running time, etc.)

Something confused:
We talked about the four colour theorem in the lecture. This is a really interesting problem and I can not stop thinking about it. What if there is a country borders four or more other countries? In this situation there will be two adjacent regions in the same colour.

Frankly, the algorithm part is totally new to me. Accepting new concepts is a time consuming work.

Week 6

Did not have tutorial this week.
Something learned:
proof, disprove, proof about limits

Week 5

Term Test day!

Week 4

Something learned:
This week we learned Implication/disjunction, mixed quantifiers and proof. Because of my physics test, I missed half of the lecture. So I did quiet a lot self-study as before. Also, I spent a lot of time finishing the first assignment in CSC165. Some of the questions are challenging, but I found it is interesting.

Something frustrated:
Honestly, I am not so confident with the week 4 content. The proof part is still confusing.

Week 3

Something learned:
We learned about conjunction, disjunction, negation and implication this week. I understand the content, did the exercise and checked the answers on tutorial. All the things went pretty well. I knew how to use the logical symbols. I felt that it might be simpler to write in symbols than using human language.

Something challenged:
I realized that a 3 hours lecture is far too long. I could not keep my tension for 3 hours even if the content is interesting. I did quiet a lot self-study to ensure that I get all the points mentioned on the lecture.
